The default fire mode shreds through red bars in general activities so it’s pretty easy to conserve those LFR shots for majors. In PvP the default fire is pretty mediocre and is essentially just a high impact auto rifle with worse range and you constantly find yourself being outgunned by 120 handcannons with it. However, the LFR shots feel very snappy once you get those three initial kills. Overall decent but not too viable for end game activities, fantastic for bounties though.

I can't find the place for this weapon in my arsenal, you lose charges if you switch out, it has weak range and the catalyst is mediocre at best.

Vex was a really good in D1 and I can't say it lives up to its glory days in D2. It's fun in Control or 6v6's and private matches but I don't see this being used in any competitive activities. In strikes its okay but you can get better PvE choices off of a random legendary drop. Amazing in Gambit and if I could give it a rating for Gambit it would definitely be 5 stars. Overall it is a fun gun but don't see it being a top choice in major or important game modes.

Ever wanted gun that combines the worst aspects of 360 auto rifles plus none of the benefits like range with an OK Linear Fusion Rifle, provided you can get several kills without stowing it?

No? Ok then. But if you did, then you could use this, I guess.

Got it on my second HM clear in Vanilla D1, and now after only 4 clears I have it again in D2 and my god it is beautiful. Feels amazing in PvP, shreds nicely and is easy to control especially when you have the catalyst, then after only TWO kills you can 1 shot headshot 3 people including those in a super, it’s kind of dumb and I love it.

For PvE it needs help sure it’s fun against regular mobs and the Linear shot is good on Majors but it still feels kind of weak idk.

Shreds red bars in pve, linear could use a damage bump but is otherwise very good. PvP linear is very good but full auto mode does tend to get dunked on by 120s

Very fun, but will not give you easy wins. But if you hate doing fusion rifle bounties for gambit then its a lifesaver!!!

Pve Great for ad clear and decent for damage with the alt fire mode.
Pvp side of it you have to know how to play the 21 meter range of it and if you do it right your gonna be having a fun time in pvp when a hunter tries to ape you no problem play the way the gun is ment to be in pvp and you'll be fine.

Absolutely incredible in PvE. Shreds ads and CHUNKS majors, good for anything that isn't master/grandmaster level (unless fusion rifles get anti-champ mods. In PvP it is basically a short-range 360 auto. Not bad, but not 120 tier. The LFR mode is sticky and feels great to use. Overall, an exceedingly fun and effective weapon, and works well in PvP too.

Fellas, I hate to be the bearer of bad news here. But Mythoclast on PVP feels like a husk of what it used to be, you will almost never win with this gun. And if you do make it to LFR the extremely long charge time will probably get you killed, PVE is meh. Definitely better weapons than this. Even worse it waste and exotic slot.

This is not worth using over other good exotics and wasting your exotic slot ... its good for killing random ads in strike and normal content but no one gonna run this in harder content.. its a gimmicky exotic to look at in the collection once in awhile .. they had the chance to make it good with a good catalyst.. but nope

shreds ads in pve, somehow feels great, better than all my 360's, and the lfr mode slaps majors. Not bad in pvp either, for a 360 auto in a 120 hc meta

Hands down one of the best Primary Weapons you can get now. As of Season 15 this weapon is a monster of damage in both PvE and PvP. If you have it get the catalyst, and never ever use another energy weapon again. I know I wont.

For PvE it is a great workhorse weapon but in no way end game worthy. So if you're just getting rituals out the way and can't be bothered to switch weapons this gun is great for providing spam damage and concentrated linear shots. It has a big magazine so you don't really need to worry about ammo. If it had intrinsic anti-barrier it would really stand out.

For PvP it is ok, the linear shots are great.

Actually have the gun. Absolutely shreds in PvP and in PvE, it's a timey-whimy laserbeam of destruction. Very fun to use and is definitely worthy of the "Exotic" title. I do wish it had the old D1 sounds though.

the gun is below average and you will lose alot of gun fights . linerfusion mode is fine. its getting the kills you may stuggle with it needs a buff in pvp :( in pve its just a novelty item sure it "shreds" red bar enemies but so does any thing else the liner fusion does about 30k damage which is just mehhh please buff the RAID exotic

CRACKED. PVE score is a given but PVP, jeez. Linear fusion is unbelievably sticky, wouldn't be surprised if when they do nerf this gun they make it so it takes 3 kills to charge instead of 2. Frankly too much range for an "auto rifle" and of course the catalyst gives it even more damage.
